Patriot Memory today launched the Gauntlet 320 portable wireless external hard drive. The device provides a 320GB of storage space, making it the perfect all-in-one wireless storage solution for tablets, smartphones, and laptops.

The Gauntlet 320 also supports Wi-fi 802.11 b/g/n with WEP/ WPA-PSK/ WPA2-PSK security. It has the ability to connect up to 8 devices and stream to 5 devices simultaneously.

The Gauntlet 320 is also plug-and-play USB 3.0/USB 2.0 capable for high speed wired data transfers to and from desktops and laptops.

Akitio is preparing to release their newest portable SSD, the Neutrino Thunderbolt Edition. Coming in 120GB of capacity (Intel 330), this fanless 2.5-inch portable SSD is equipped with:

  • Thunderbolt connection interface
  • An integrated aluminum heatsink body with excellent heat dissipation and capable of delivering read and write speeds of up to 464MB/s and 311MB/s, respectively

MSI has just unveiled a new line of SSDs namely the Reflex Series. Coming in 60GB, 120GB and 240GB sizes, these 2.5-inch SSDs are packed with:

OCZ Vertex 3 Low Profile SSDs


OCZ’s latest line of SSDs ‘Vertex 3 Low Profile’ is finally making its way to Japan. These SSDs (60GB, 120GB, 240GB & 480GB Models) will become available in Japan from mid-July via ASK Inc.

RunCore has introduced a new line of 7mm SSDs at Computex 2012, the Pro VI. Coming in capacities ranging from 32GB to 512GB.

  • These 2.5-inch JMicron-based SSDs are equipped with MLC NAND Flash memory chips,
  • A SATA 6.0 Gbps interface, 
  • A 32MB of cache memory and

OCZ has recently unveiled a new line of SSDs called the Vertex 3 Low Profile.

  • A SATA 6.0 Gbps interface, 
  • TRIM support,

OCZ Vertex 4 SSD 


OCZ has launched a new solid state drive in the form of Vertex 4. What is interesting about this drive is that it is based on Indilinx Everest 2 controller.

According to the company, the Vertex 4 delivers the industry’s highest input/output operations per second (IOPS) performance for SATA-based drives across a wide variety of application workloads.

Powered by its new Indilinx Everest 2 controller platform, featuring a dual core architecture and 400MHz clock speeds, the Vertex 4 eliminates the need for internal data compression, further enhancing drive reliability. [Via]
